Arnot was a coal mining town at one time. In 1887, the Village of Arnot had over 2700 residents, while the year 2000 census shows 354.
Out of 7 original churches, 3 still remain standing. There is a small Post Office.
There are no grocery stores. There is a sportsmans club. It is now just a small rural community.
The cache is hidden with permission at the old school house. Some like to call it the museum now. The web page provided will give you a image of the old school before it burnt down and was replaced. Please take your time and enjoy the war monument out front...my uncle Chet is one of the names on there...
Please be respectful of the cache area and replace the cache as found. Bring your own pen/pencil since the cache is too small for one... Happy caching!
Congrats to Carels on FTF!!!
