Robby Traditional Cache
Sayitagain: Always hate to archive any of my geocaches especially a 14 year old one but this one was pretty specific as to the name and what Robbie had originally looked like but Robbie desinigrated and I couldn’t find anything close to what he looked like so I guess he’ll have to go.

A traditional cache located along a new section of the Rock Creek Trail.
You are looking for a traditional cache hidden in a unique way along the new western section of the Rock Creek trail. This trail was actually envisioned about 20 years ago when they built Chenal Parkway. The bench that you see just west of the cache , as well as those up next to parking area were installed shortly after the road was completed with plans to come back and construct the trail. It’s just taken 20 years to get this section started. The Eastern end was built about 5 years ago and extends all the way to Bowman Road. After we cleared the brush from the trail I walked it and saw this particular feature and was immediately reminded of a character out of a movie I saw back in 1956. It was one of the first true science fiction movies made. If you go to the Internet Movie Data Base, type in “Forbidden Planet” and check out pictures from the movie you will understand the name and should have no problem locating the cache. The best place to park while attempting this cache is in the west bound lane along the south side of the road almost to the bridge on Pride Valley. There is a flat area there where you can pull off and not have to deal with the traffic.
