Geocache Description:

Cache is a clip lock box and can hold small swaps and travel bugs. This a walk along the edge of a farmers field that can be muddy.

We adopted 2 other caches along this path and thought it was quite a long way between the two so decided to place this one to make the walk a bit more worthwhile. As with Pumping Dial Post you may see plenty of wild life around and also looks popular with shooters as you may also see the odd spent gun cartridge lying on the floor.

To the west was RAF Burtonwood this was a Royal Air Force base in England . During World War II and the Cold War it was used by the United States Air Force and United States Army. It was also known as USAAF station 590.
