Joining Upper Mayfield and Middle Mayfield is a green lane called Slack Lane. (Walking or cycling only). It is covered with over hanging trees, and our daughters believe that there are fairies inhabiting the trees. You can park at either end of the lane. (Be considerate to residents).
Mayfield is a village on the Staffordshire side of the River Dove, close to Ashbourne. It is the only Staffordshire village that boasts a well dressing.
