Grandstand View #8 (Carlisle, Cumbria) Traditional Cache

This cache is one of a series of ten caches in a circular walk near Carlisle Racecourse. The complete circuit is about 6.5km long. For most of your journey you will be able to see the new Jubilee Grandstand built in 2002.

The caches are in various containers including a micro, but mainly small. They contain the usual variety of swaps.

Some of the paths can be muddy after rain therefore walking boots or wellies are essential.

When replacing the cache, please ensure it is well hidden and no labelling is visible.

From #7 footpath turns left and uphill with a small copse on your left. At the top of the hill is a stile – turn and look back for a great view over the Caldew Valley to Carlisle. Walk around the perimeter of the field and over another stile.
