Geocache Description:

After the success of the Red Gate cache we decided to make that cache and Return from the Red Gate into a series so that cachers could pick up more than just 2 caches on this circular walk.

It is recommended that you park at Upperthong village hall in order to to this series in order. The series is just over 2 miles long and should take around an hour. This is the 1st cache in the Red Gate series which takes you down the path that leads from Upperthong Village Hall, through Hill and back to Upperthong. It is a relatively easy walk which we have done with our 8 year old daughter many times. The ground to this first cache is smooth and mostly concreted. This cache could be picked up as a stand alone cache or as part of the Red Gate series. The cache is a small click lock tub and initially had a couple of small items in for swaps. It will hold coins but may struggle with anything bigger. There is a log & pencil in the cache but as always please bring your own pen/pencil just in case. UPDATE 31/03/2018 - This is no longer a numbered series due to many now archived, so now a standalone cache. FTF - bluewhitereg!
