Located off an unopened municipal road allowance the cache approximately 15m from the South-Western tip of Awenda Park.
Welcome to Awenda Park. This cache is in honour of one of my favourite Ontario Provincial Parks.
Now open for over 30 years, Awenda has been a favourite campground to more than 2 million visitors. The park is over 2500 hectares and includes Giant’s Tomb Island which can be seen while enjoying an awesome swim at one of the park’s 4 beaches (3 & 4 are my favourites) or while walking along portions of the 13km Bluff Trail, one of seven amazing hiking trails.
If you are into camping, be sure to check out the awesome 333 campsites in 6 campgrounds situated in a beautiful deciduous forest.
For those of you into Nordic skiing or snowshoeing, don’t forget Awenda Park in the winter, a park for all seasons.
The cache is a camouflaged lock and lock type container.
