Geocache Description:

This should be a quick grab. The cache is only a short walk from the parking area. The rest area is only open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. but is open 7 days a week. Please watch for muggles and please allow ample time for your search as the gates close promptly at 5 p.m.. please refer to the long description for some more information.

For the past 12 years I have been driving past this rest area on my way to visit family near Cambridge. When I noticed that nobody has left a cache here yet, I couldn't resist. I just had to leave a cache here. It really is a nice little rest area which allows for some peace and quiet and even a short walk if you desire. Things have changed at this rest area though. For as long as I have known of this location it has always been open and accessible 24 hours a day. Now however if you wish to visit this area you will have to do so between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.. Fortunately it is still open seven days a week. When visiting this cache be sure to allow ample time for searching as the gates close promptly at 5 p.m.. The cache does not take long to reach however in warm weather months there is a lot of poison ivy in the area. The cache was placed in the winter when there was no plant growth in the area. Please watch for muggles too!
