The cache is located on Blackwater Creek and can only be accessed by boat. The eastern section of Blackwater Creek is mainly wind tidal marshes with a few tidal swamps at the ends of the offshoots. There is an abundance of waterfowl in the area and I have seen a few otters and snakes in the offshoots.
The water level on this creek varies mainly due to the wind. If the wind is from the south or east the levels will be high and if the wind is from the north or west the water levels will lower. The route to this cache is deep and the cache should be easy to retrieve with a kayak, canoe, or power boat.
This creek is rather wide and has many turns. There are many power boats on this side of the creek so extra caution is needed on the turns and be ready for their wake when they pass.
