Geocache Description:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers owns Lake Mendocino and has developed miles of trails around the lake. This cache is at the trailhead to several of the trails on the southeast shore of the lake. They are for hiking, mountain biking or horeseback riding. No motorized vehicles are allowed.

Parking is at the end of Deerwood Dr. at the coordinates listed below. It is outside the locked gate before it becomes a private road. The last 1/2 mi. or so is gravel, but 4WD is not necessary.
