Geocache Description:

Located at the I-90 eastbound Indian John Hill rest area about 5 miles E of Cle Elum.

These two rest stops have a great view of the Stuart Range. The tallest peak in the range is the rugged Mt. Stuart, touted as being the largest chunk of exposed granite in the U.S. At 9415 ft. it is the second highest non-volcanic peak in Washington.

The cache is out in the woods a ways. It's about 300 ft. +/- from the first parking space on the left as one pulls into the rest stop. Rogue pets may wander out that far so look out for Bowser bombs under foot.

Cache has recently been down-sized to an Altoids tin.

PLEASE put the door back -- helps to protect from the elements when winter snows come.

May be findable under 4-6 inches of snow if one looks for a hump on the ground.

UPDATE (Sep. 2012):
On Saturday the 8th we made it to the summit of Mt. Stuart! For me it fulfilled a dream of the last 10 years. Five of us took off from the base of Mt. Stuart and took about 6 hours to reach the summit. There is a summit log but I didn't leave a cache there.......NO WAY! am I going to make a yearly maintenance trip! Long Pass on the hike in would be a good place for a cache though.

Way to go TWEEKS -- FTF !

No hint -- made it a little tougher this time around. Coords could be somewhat sketchy due to tree cover. Good luck!
