Denna cache är del av en serie av cacher som jag kallat ”Min ungdoms Osby” där ni kommer att få besöka några av de platser i Osby "byn vid os:et, åns mynning" som präglat min ungdom. Om ni samlar ledtrådar i samtliga sex del-cacher kan ni även hitta FINALEN.
This cache is a part of a series of caches that I call ”Osby part of my youth” which will show you a few spots in Osby “the village by the delta” that has meant a lot to me. If you find all six clues then you will be able to find the FINAL!

Min ungdoms Osby #5 – Osby Scoutgård
Osby Scoutkårs scoutgård är sedan 1994 centrum för scoutverksamheten. Scoutgården är belägen vid Ebbarpsvägen öster om Osbysjön i ett naturskönt område med närbelägen campingplats, elljusmotionsspår på Klinten, skidbacke, vildmarksmässig stugby - "Bergakungen" samt med vandringsleden "Skåneleden" alldeles intill. Till scoutgården hör en nästan 9.000 kvadratmeter stor naturtomt med cirka 90 meters strand till Osbysjön.
Scoutkåren har sedan starten 1930 tillhört KFUK-KFUMs Scoutförbund och i spetsen för scoutkåren har vi kårstyrelsen, bestående av äldre scouter med livserfarenhet och ett samhällsriktigt tänkande. Den programmässiga verksamheten bedrivs i ett antal avdelningar, som omfattar miniorscoutavdelning, juniorscout- och patrullscoutavdelning, RS-lag samt ledargrupp och BP-Club. I dagsläget bedriver vi en stark satsning på juniorscoutavdelningen. (Text från Osby Scoutkårs hemsida)

Själv var jag aktiv inom Scoutkåren som scout och scoutledare fram till mitten av 90-talet då 18 månader i lumpen gav en överdos av friluftsliv och utflyttning från Osby innebar också att jag lämnade kåren som betytt så mycket för mig under många år, stort tack till alla frivilliga som lägger sin tid på att hjälpa till att sprida sunda värderingar.

Osby part of my youth #5 – The home of Osby Scout Corps
This rebuilt barn has been the centre of the Osby Scout Corps since 1984. It is situated in a very nice area along Ebbarpsvägen east of the Lake of Osby. The 9000 square meter big estate connected to the lake is a nice recreation area close to camping grounds, running tracks, down hill skiing facilities, the Wildness center of “Bergakungen” and the walking track called “Skåneleden” passes by a few hundred meters away.
Osby Scout Corps was started 1930 and is part of the Swedish YMCA-YWCA Guide and Scout Association. The program is divided into a number of sections including Minior-, Junior-, Patrol-scouts, a Rover Scout team, Scout leader team and a BP-club.

I was an active scout while growing up and I was a scout leader until the middle of the ninties when 18 months of army service gave me an overdose of wildlife. Moving from Osby also meant leaving the Osby Scout Corps that meant so much for me while growing up. A big “Thank You” to all voluntaries spending their sparetime teaching common sense and good values.
