Geocache Description:

This is the letter "I" in the cache series "Alphabet Soup". .

You will be travelling down the Cook/Horne Forest Service Rd. There are potholes, so take it slow. The land in this area is owned by Island Timberlands and they have given permission for public access on a "at your own risk" basis.

You will pass a cache (GC1BF21) on your way to this cache. If you have time, stop at the bridge and take a look at the Qualicum River as it passes through the gorge. At this time of year, it is a real white-water display.

The cache is in a mossy stump about 30 feet from the road, in fact the stump, is beside the turn around. Someone had made a firepit in the turnaround, and had left a lot of boulders, but I have cleared them off and it is safe to use this spot to turn around and head back toward the cave area. Co-ords are really bad, as besides the tree cover, the mountains are a pain. I had completely lost my signal at one point.
