Geocache Description:

Regular lock 'n' lock in the 909

We’ve enjoyed the many caches at Stewart State Forest, and thought we’d do our part to put a lot out in the Taconic Hereford Multiple Use Area. With 909 acres, there’s room for lots more!

For this series, we parked just off the TSP, about .38 mile north of Rossway Road in the designated parking area. Depending on the time of year, you might be able to drive just a bit closer. We started by following the blue trail.

If you approach this cache from the west, you’ll know why it’s called yellow warbler. If you approach from the east, it might not be obvious! Approaching from the west, it’s about 120 feet off the trail, from the east it’s about 20 feet. There is no need to move any rocks to access this cache, unless you’re grabbing them as you slide down the hill!

New Year's Resolution #10 of 12.

Yellow warblers are all around us in the summer. Their song sounds like ‘sweet, sweet, sweet, little more sweet". (Thanks to Doghair Duo for the correction!)
