Regular lock 'n' lock in the 909.
We’ve enjoyed the many caches at Stewart State Forest, and thought we’d do our part to put a lot out in the Taconic Hereford Multiple Use Area. With 909 acres, there’s room for lots more!
For this series, we parked just off the TSP, about .38 mile north of Rossway Road in the designated parking area. Depending on the time of year, you might be able to drive just a bit closer.
We started by following the blue trail. This cache is about 130 feet off the trail.
Slate colored juncos are nick-named snow birds, as they come to our area in the fall when it gets cool, and stay here all winter. When it gets warmer, they head back north. They will stick around places like the 909 longer, since it’s cooler here.
New Year's Resolution #11 of 12 ~ I'm almost there!
