This multi-use path connects the First Capital of Virginia (Jamestown) to the modern Capital (Richmond). Begin at mile 0 and you are able to bike, walk, or jog the 50+ miles to Richmond. If you want to add additional miles to your trip you can begin at the Second Capital (Williamsburg) and enjoy the scenic ride along The Colonial Parkway.
Each year during May a bicycle ride along this route is held to raise money to maintain the Capital Trail. Also, since May Is Bike Month there are different bicycle rides every day during the month sponsored by the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists (www.wabonline.org).
Beware of muggles in tight fitting padded shorts and colorful shirts. These will abound on warm sunny days.
You may park your vehicle in the lot just across the street and there is always room for bicycles.
Since this is a nano you must bring your own writing implement. This cache was placed with permission of the Virginia Capital Trail (www.virginiacapitaltrail.org).
