Geocache Description:

A small container that's hard for a geomuggle to see, but you, my young and trusted geocacher will spot instantly and, I believe, will exclaim, "A-ha! I saw it first!"

This cache was placed for the CCARW10 event, held May 1-2, 2010. This cache is permanent and remains in place for future finders.

This cache is in the "NON-CHILDPROOF" category.

They built a fire and skinned out the rabbit and skewered it on a green limb and set it to broil at the edge of the fire. John Grady opened his blacked canvas campbag and took out a small enameled tin coffeepot and went to the creek and filled it. They sat and watched the fire and they watched the thin crescent moon above the black hills to the west. Rawlins rolled a cigarette and lit it with a coal and lay back against his saddle. I'm goin to tell you somethin.
Tell it.
I could get used to this life.
He drew on the cigarette and held it out to one side and tapped the ash with a delicate motion of his forefinger. It wouldn't take me no time at all.

This cache is kid-friendly, and here's 6 reasons why :)
1) It's hidden in plain sight at a goodly accessible height for even the youngest of whipper-snappers to reach.

2) The container has a large handle attached for small hands to grab a hold of - making it easier for young'uns to keep a grip on while they sort though the contents.

3) The large assortment of alphabet beads and jewelry cord were perfect for making your own, personalised bracelet or necklace! However, it was hard to keep the bracelet twine in stock and finders not notifying when the last was taken meant this nature of swag often disappointed. Current trade items are varied, small, kid-happy things.

4) There are red and green pens for the pickiest of scribblers to use to scrawl their name in the log book, and there is the familiar pencil for the deepest of cold winters when ink freezes.

5) The LogBook is just the right size for small hands - not too large that it is unmanageable, and not too small for juvenile writing.

6) The first 8 visitors get to take a collectible "Finder's Card"!
