This cache is located in the ruins of the old E. I. DuPont Powderworks Plant Crystallizer building. Located within the DuPont Parks and Open space system this location is remote and NOT easily accessed from the north, the best approach is along the southern rim of Sequalitchew Creek Canyon and between the golf course boundary. Watch out for trip hazards and rebar around the site. If you have any more history about the site please share. Have a blast!
From what limited background I found, this building housed the Crystallizer process, a dangerous step in the manufacturing of TNT. Because of the risks involved it was located on the outskirts of the manufacturing plant and the structure was separated by a massive blast wall. Park at the DuPont Civic Center and head toward the cache, stay on the high-ground on the southern edge of the Canyon with the golf course on your left. The Golf Course boundary is marked with white posts. Then its you-vs-scotch broom till the end and back.
