Geocache Description:


This cache is a micro situated close to one of the entrances to St Clements Park on the north side of the fine city of Norwich. It could easily be combined with a visit to one of my other caches – Norfolk Enchants, The Old Pits.

The park holds fond memories for me as I spent many a long day here in my misspent youth. In those days there used to be a shed on the park where the parky (or park keeper) used to reside during his ‘working’ day. I remember him to be a cantankerous old duffer who used to like nothing more than to sit around drinking tea in his hut only emerging occasionally to tell us off for something! His nature could have been something to do with the constant pranks played on him though – enough to test anyone’s patience!

Our time on the park was mainly devoted to playing football and on Sundays and semi-organised game was refereed by a certain Mr Waller who did his best to keep control! My parents still live in a house overlooking the park from where I used to be shouted when it was time for tea. Happy days!

This is the third of my Norfolk Enchants series of caches which are all to be placed in locations that I have grown to know and love over the years. Some will be easy and some not so easy but I hope you enjoy hunting for them as much as I have setting them.
