Bring the kids, dog, or friends. This is a cache about the 18th and 21st amendment. The prohibition of alcohol and the repeal of the prohibition. I chose this spot becuase there is so much history here. This is an area where my family used to go every July 4th. When I was in highschool we would play manhunt in these woods. There is a lot of history here. Check the other cache nearby that pretty much plagerized my info about the area. In the 20's Al Capone became a millionaire due to the prohibition of alcohol. He actually used to own Saffron's. It was once called the, "Gangplank Nightclub." Also, On park street the movie "Cocoon," was filmed. A little past Admiral Farragut, one of Babe Ruth's summer homes is there. This spot is also near where the explorer Panfilo De Narvaez landed in April of 1528.
The cache is an ammo can located up the hill. I highly recommend doing this cache in the day time. You can do this at night, but sometimes teenagers go here and do their shenanigans. You want to park in the dirt road and follow the trail up, its not too far off from the trail. BYOP. All kinds of goodies are placed inside, Have fun, be safe!!
