Borgundgavlen - Sunnmøre Museum
Borgundgavlen is a museum- and recreational area in Ålesund. Here you will find Sunnmøre Museum with a large collection of old houses from Sunnmøre, a nice exhibition of different boats and an indoor exhibition of archaeological items as well as tools and other household items. The outdoor collection now includes more than 50 buildings, including living houses, barns, several school buildings, saw mills, boat houses and the typical norwegian "stabbur" (for food storage). There are also some workshops and houses related to fishing. These buildings represent examples of different styles and time periods.
