Come explore the birthplace of Texas. Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site is located on State Highway 105 between Brenham and Navasota. Explore the reconstructed Independence Hall where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed on March 2, 1836. Walk through Barrington Lining History Farm and discover what life was like on a Texas farm 150 years ago. Entrance is free. The Visitor Center is open from 9 am to 5 pm and Star of Texas Museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm.
