Grant Park History: Constitution Spring Cache Traditional Cache
J Grouchy: I came by today and couldn't find this one...again. I hate to do it, but I've had to replace or re-hide this one too many times, so I think it's time to archive...

The cache is a micro aluminum pill container with camo tape located about 4 feet off the paved path. Contains log only. BYOP.
It is on the Cherokee Street side of the Park.
This is a very muggle rich area. Use stealthing skills.
Only look for the cache during daylight hours when the park is open to the public. Always respect the flora, fauna and man-made features of the Park when looking for caches in Grant Park.
In May, 2010, Grant Park celebrated its 127th birthday. I have spent many years enjoying this Park. It is rich with history and this and other caches will introduce you to some of the more interesting facts about the Park.
This is one of five fresh water springs in the park. Long time park residents recall a flow rate of ten thousand gallons a day. These springs provided a fresh water source for the now extinct Lake Abana in Grant Park; however the natural flow was diverted into the storm water pipes installed in the park in the early 1900s. The spring is believed to be viable. A group is now studying this spring to determine its viability for possible use in irrigation.
