The hippie left his pet behind in this old abandoned grain bin from the early 1900s. In the early 1970s a hippie type guy tried to turn this into a place to live. It is pretty small and he gave up after a short time.
This was actually a thriving town in the early 1900s. It had a bank, school, post office, grocery store and other businesses. A few remnants and foundations remain from the original town. It was one of the original small towns as a stop on the railway. Kids from here used to walk down the tracks to pick up dropped coal from the coal cars. This info is from a lady who actually lived there at that time. When we were first married there was still a tiny grocery store attached to the post office where we got our mail. It was so small that no one bothered to even lock their box, including us. When the post office closed and turned into just a drop box, we changed our address to the town of Lind. The terrain starts off as a 1.5 but because of irregularies in the terrain as you go, I listed it as 2 so watch your step.
