Geocache Description:


The Boy Scouts of America is organizing a National Cache In Trash Out day for all the Scout councils in the nation. For Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing crews, adult volunteers, alumni, and ALL OF US CACHERS!
We will meet at Escalante Park. Registration for the event will begin at 9:00 a.m. parking lot (at the above coordinates).
Depending on the amount of people that show there will be over flow clean up at the Vista Del Prado Park right up the road. There are CITO activities for all age groups, from Cub Scouts to grandparents. The project entails trash pickup, and clean up of the general park area.

Please bring your own boots, gloves, bug spray and sun screen. Trash bags will be provided. Drinking water will be provided.

Join Catalina Council for a day of service and fun!

Please record the number of hours you worked at the registration desk before you leave. So we can tally up the service hours from our national CITO.

Participating scouts can receive credit toward Leave No Trace awards, World Conservation awards, or Year of Celebration Community Service. Community members can meet some of our local scouts, and enjoy their company while we clean the wash. We may also be able to see some of the new Pillars of Scouting travel bugs before they are released for our council!
