Shadow Chasers: Unfortunately we have to archive this cache. We spoke to Ashland police and they said due to vandalism and damage to the area by ATV and 4x4 drivers this area is now off limits. No Trespassing signs have been posted and the police patrol the area. Thanks to everyone who visited this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a decon container hidden on a stretch of old railroad bed in Ashland. At one time train tracks passed through this area and crossed the Salt Creek near the cache location.

The area has now been "derailed" and the tracks are no longer present. The railroad bed and some bridge supports are still there. ATV riders have made some trails in this area and there is a good chance of spotting some wildlife during your hunt. There is an access road in to the cache area and you can make your own determination as to how far you want to drive. Depending on the route you choose it can be a pretty easy walk to the cache. Enjoy!
