This area was used to be called "Fukae Bunka Mura" meaning Fukae Cultural Village.
According to the guide post found there, through the Taisho and early Showa periods, this was a residential area for Russian refugees who fled from the Revolution of 1917 --- most of them were musicians. Naturally enough, this area was once a musical center to inspire many famous musicians including the conductor Takashi Asahina.
Come over here to feel the atmosphere of Western style residential houses still remaining here.
A magnetic cache is placed below a clock in a cozy but beautiful park full of flowers.
