Checked on Jan 1st 2012. The (soggy and full) log book has been replaced with a new one and placed inside a plastic bag, and the inside of the box cleaned/dried.
This area is an ideal opportunity for CITO activities - but please don't remove any debris that is hiding the caches!
PARKING
Southport is not renowned for being "parking friendly"! But there is a Park&Ride close to the start of this trail costing £1 for the day. Parking Location:
N 53 38.791
W003 01.302
Enter via the gate near the Park&Ride, beside the EcoCentre and the WindPower Generator.
This is the first of a series of caches in Victoria Park, not a long walk and good for kids and dogs (on leads) (the dogs, not the kids!) (well maybe both!!) Not far from the park entrance. Total distance to #5 and back is about a mile.
Clear "Tupperware" container - pencil, log book and key-ring.
After the cache trail you may like to take the kids to the funfair nearby, or to do some shopping in nearby Lord Street or Chapel Street (no need to "Ride" as they are well within walking distance)
