This can be quite a hike over lumpy terrain with few real trails. The forrest canopy is quite high here though so it's easy to pick a good walking route. For those cachers with a mariner streak, a short paddle will shave off some time but what fun is it taking the easy route?
This little section of woods makes a great hike and doubles as a great viewing blind for taking photos of the nesting swans I see here every Summer. If you are lucky enough to get a few pictures of these birds please post them on this cache page.
The high canopy can make the signal weak but not impossible, just let your device settle down a bit. Please take care in replacing the container as you found it & be on the look out for bears. We don't need another Timothy Treadwell story.
Congrats to MTboy for braving the many nearby hazards to earn the FTF on this cache. I may eventually reevaluate the diff/terr rating for this cache, it is not for the faint of heart or novice woodsman.
