Geocache Description:

Part of the Riverside Way series of caches.

The Holme Valley Riverside Way is a 6.5 mile route that takes you from Digley Reservoir near Holmbridge, to the hamlet of Magdale, near Honley. The route takes you through some of the Holme Valleys best kept secrets, and so we thought, what better place for a major series of geocaches!
The route follows all kinds of terrain, from paved roads to muddy footpaths, and can be quite muddy in some places, but is pretty easy going overall. There are a few alternative routes along the way, and we have chosen to use the ones we think are the best for geocaching (we even made up our own for a short stretch!) so don’t worry too much if it looks like you are leaving the marked trail at any point.
If you would like to know more about the history of the area, or perhaps some of the nature and wildlife you will encounter along the way, there is an accompanying guide to the walk available at the Holmfirth Tourist Information Office.

This cache is a small key holder with a log and pencil.
