The cache is located along the Jock River, and you can only get there by canoe (otherwise you would need to hike over private land).
The 'terrain' is rated 5 stars only because you need a canoe to get down to where the cache is located.
This cache is the first (but not the last) cache on the beautiful Jock River.
To canoe the river, the put-in is where the Munster Road crosses the Jock River N45 08.046 W075 54.198.
The take-out is in the village of Richmond. It takes about 2-3 hours to paddle this section of the river (leave your take-out car parked at the end of Lennox Street in Richmond). The Jock is really a spring river for paddling (April). Later in the summer, the river level goes down so much that you might bump on rocks as you paddle down the river! But you can usually do the river after a big rainstorm...particularly in the fall.
