Geocache Description:

This road was once the main route between Sanford and Oviedo. It was constructed as a 9 foot wide, brick road, with a concrete ribbon on each side. It was primarily built to allow early automobile travel. At some point the county paved over the bricks. When road 419 was constructed this roadway became led less traveled. If you are curious as to what the road originally looked liked, travel down 419 to Layer Elementary School, where they have preserved a section of the original road.
