Geocache Description:

Short walk along designated path or alternatively through woodland. Park at N55 52.333 W3 26.314

Majority of path is fairly dry and suitable for buggies. Watch out for dog mess though. The last 50 yards to the cache can be extremely boggy, along an almost forgotten, overgrown and waterlogged track. A new farm track has been constructed which now makes access significantly better than it used to be. Sturdy waterproof footwear would still be recommended for wet weather although lighter footwear would be okay when dry. Update: Cache was checked and maintained on 20 Aug 2014. It looks like the original cache location has been disturbed during the farm track construction and a large pile of stones that once was immediately adjacent has been removed to the other side of the pathway. We're guessing that whoever moved the stones discovered the cache and hide it again, thank you. It's near enough to not update the coords, but rests at the entrance to a larger hole, so please be careful not to push it too far in. Update: Cache has been checked and maintained on 7 Nov 2020. Thanks to the many people who have visited this cache over the 10 years since it was placed and logged their experience. The last 50 yards to reach the cache today was a slippery quagmire, but we did it. There is a brand-new logbook and the broken container was replaced. It's all ready for the next 10 years. Come and get it!
