Duna Plaza, one of the leading shopping and entertaining centers of Budapest, opened its gates to the public in 1996. It is 5 minutes away from the city-center, but on one of the busiest main road of Budapest and easily accessible with public transport from anywhere in the city. The Plaza houses 211 shops in three floors and offers various shopping, cultural and entertaining programs to its costumers and visitors. Several international and Hungarian commercial companies, chains and brands are present. There is a 200 seat food court with several various restaurants, a multiplex movie with 11 screens, a fitness center, a video arcade and bowling facility with 8 alleys.

 1996. október 14-én nyílt meg az elso pláza Budapesten, a XIII. kerületben. A Duna Pláza nyugati léptékkel mérve is közepes méretu bevásárlóközpontnak számított, és 140 üzlettel kezdett muködni. Ugyanekkor – szintén a Duna Plázában – nyitott meg az ország elso multiplex mozija is kilenc nagyteremmel. A Duna Pláza azonban nem sokáig volt az ország egyetlen plázája, 1996 novemberében ugyanis a Pólus Center is megnyitotta kapuit a Szentmihályi úton.A jellegzetes épületben számos nemzetközi és magyar kereskedelmi cég képviselteti magát. A Duna Plaza közel 200 üzlettel és változatos programokkal várja vásárlóit, látogatóit.
