| The edifice appears as a one-stage building from the riverbank. Looks like an arched ribbon, which is transparent in its almost full front length; there are solid surfaces only at some places. This transparency is a basic concept, due to which the visual contact between the bay and the land seems to be provided. The building strives for simplicity not only in its mass and usage of materials, but in its ground-plan as well. The rooms to serve the port’s functions will be located on the so-called basement level (on the ground floor looking from the Danube). These rooms will be storerooms, bathrooms and a place for pouring out the sewage-water for those who arrive on boat. The mechanical room will be also in the basement. On the ground floor there will be communal places (café and club room), the office and the information block. The fluid, soft form reflecting the dynamism of the river can be connected to the international contemporary architectural progressive efforts |
Az épület a part felol földszintes tömegként jelenik meg. Megjelenésében egy íves szalag, mely csaknem teljes homlokzati hosszában transzparens, csupán néhány helyen osztják meg tömör felületek. Ez az átláthatóság alapveto koncepció, melynek köszönhetoen az öböl és a szárazföld közti vizuális kapcsolatot biztosítva látjuk. Az épület nem csak tömegképzésében és anyaghasználatában, de alaprajzi elrendezésében is törekszik az egyszeruségre. A kiköto funkciót ellátó helyiségek az ún. pinceszinten (a Duna felol a földszinten) kerülnek elhelyezésre. Ezek a helyiségek raktárak, tárolók, valamint mosdók és egy szennyvízkiönto a hajóval érkezok számára. A gépészeti helyiség szintén a pincében található. A földszinten a közösségi terek (kávézó és klubterem), valamint egy iroda és információ blokk található. |
