This cache will take you on a visit to the Chinese Garden – one of the most ornate, idyllic gardens in Singapore.
Built in 1975 and designed by renowned Taiwanese architect Professor Yuen-Chen Yu, the garden boasts many beautiful features – the bridges, the pagoda, the bonsai garden, the Garden of Abundance (an area of the garden containing sculptures of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, a beautiful sundial and several small stone bridges crossing the stream which winds its way through the garden) and the Chinese hero statues are some excellent examples.
The garden is located next to Chinese Garden MRT Station and connected via a bridge to the equally tranquil and beautifully-kept Japanese Garden – also well worth a look. Bring some bread to feed the fish and the turtles!
Some areas of the garden are open only between 9am and 6pm. Visit during these hours for access to the cache.
The cache is a white container with a logsheet in it and is able to hold small and light objects small well-marked plastic box containing log and pencil.
