Did you know that Altoona's sister city is St. Pölten in Austria?
The relationship was established in 2000. There are several signs
in the city of Altoona regarding this fact and I wanted to bring
people to one of them so that everyone becomes aware of the
connection. St. Pölten is the capital city of the Austrian State of
Lower Austria. It is Lower Austria's largest city. Check out the
related web page link on this page to learn more about the city of
St. Pölten (you may need to use a translation program to understand
the page).
Sister cities are cooperative agreements between cities in
geographically and politically distinct areas to promote cultural
and commercial ties.
