Geocache Description:

Happy Easter! This is a family friendly cache consisting of a short hike down an old railroad and from the location of the cache, a great view of the river. Parking is along the edge of the road and please do not park in the business that is just up from the entry point to the trail. A jersey barrier is across the driveway into what used to be a parking area, you may park either side of this barrier.

The cache is a small container with only a log sheet, please bring your own pen. Please remain on the rail trail and DO NOT take a short cut through the farmer's field to get to the cache. Easter is cache in the 'holiday' series, and, as in the other caches in this series, I have provided a short history lesson or a link to the full description of the events of the holiday. If you have Easter traditions in your family and you wish to share, feel free to do so in your post.

Easter is not only celebrated in the United States, it is also celebrated in many countries and cultures around the world. The celebration of Easter begins in mid-February with Ash Wednesday and the start of the period of time known as Lent. Lent culminates with the start of holy week with Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and then Easter Sunday. Easter is the most religious of the holidays celebrated here in the United States and around the world. To learn more about the tradtions and cultures of Easter, visit www.wikipedia.com/wiki/Easter.
