Geocache Description:

Western Canada’s only daylily flower park, and the northern-most one in all the world. Come see all the pretty flowers.

Daylilies (greek – Hemerocallis, meaning “beauty” and “day”) are defined as flowers that only last one day. As a result, there are many flower buds on each stalk, and many stalks in each flowering bunch of plants, meaning the plant may bloom consistently for a period of several weeks, with each flower lasting just a single day. They are hardy plants, able to survive a variety of climates and are largely drought and pest resistant. The many species produce flowers of every color, and can bloom from early spring until the fall. The common Manitoba Tiger Lily is an example of a wild daylily.

Thanks entirely to the efforts of local volunteers; the Beausejour Daylily Park (visit link) has evolved into an award winning and internationally recognized showcase of many diverse daylily species. Come take a relaxing walk in a beautiful garden setting.

During the growing season, stealth may be required to retrieve the bison-tube cache. Bring your own writing stick. Please remember to sign their visitor's book in the mailbox at the south end of the the park while you're there.

NOTE – The cache is NOT located in a flowerbed, so please keep your footprints confined to the pathways ONLY.
