Geocache Description:

A cache to celebrate our first year of Geocaching...and the 10th anniversary of Geocaching

NOTE THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE LOCATION

A wonderful year that has taken us to many interesting and varied places that otherwise we would never have gone. Occasionally it has ruled our lives and dictated our spare (and not so spare) time. We have met many people (despite the furtive nature of geocaching) some of which we can now call friends and who are there on the other end of the phone when we are stuck.

Here's to many more years of Geocaching.

This cache celebrates our first year of caching, our nearby series and finally our 500th find. It also coincides with the 10th anniversary of Geocaching. It is a location I wanted to use in our first series of caches, but it just wouldn't fit.

To find the cache you will need to go to the above location, where there is a bus-stop and make a note of the bus stop number. The number is 450ABCDE.

Next use the those numbers below to give you the actual cache location.

N 53 (C/A)D.(E-C)(D+B)E

W 001 (D/A)B.(C+A)(E+B)A

Although there maybe closer places, we would recommend the listed parking place. Some roads closer to GZ are private and parking there should be avoided.

Walking from the bus-stop should take you past some familiar looking things if you have completed our nearby series, like another pointless stile , some horses, some trash, a lumpy tree, a stone post and a pile of sand at a nearby building works.

While placing the cache we also had to walk on water, we spotted a gate from which town was visible, a not so long tongue and in the distance saw LHCC - this time Lepton Highlanders though.

We didn't find any train carriages or meet Lucy Gawthorpe, and fortunately for you there is NO IVY!!!

Good footwear is recommended as the route can be wet and muddy underfoot. Also expect some hill climbing. Finally like the series, there is an electric fence on the right of the track, at least part of it, so take care, although it has been switched off during our visits.

Good Luck in your quest
