This is a series of caches which can be done as a circular walk, or alternatively as single cache's based on six figure grid references used in scout hike practice. If you were a scout you would be expected to find the cache's just using the grid reference and no GPS, just a compass. The terrain is open grassland, and can get very wet and muddy. This is also cow country with some electric fence gates. If you grab the insulated handle, open it, turn round, and close it again you will be O.K.

As a first time junior in the hike you will have to walk double this distance on the second day after completing a full day walking and an overnight camp where you pitch your own tent and cook the food you have carried with you for you and your buddy. Over the two days the junior scouts will cover a minimum of 30km. You will receive marks for speed, accuracy, check point activities, and your camping skills. If you are going to walk the circular route I would advise you park at Little Budworth Country park. N53 11.071 W002 36.882 I should suggest walking the route on the above map refs which will give you a watering hole just before you finish.
