This is in a residential area less than a block to a house where it appears that the owner collects trash from beaches and creates really interesting sculptures / art from the garbage. This house is at 1118 Colusa Ave in Berkeley. The cache is about a block away, just on the other side of Monterey. The cache was moved from the original location after the original cache was muggled.
The cache is NOT at that house. You can reach the cache easily from a public space near a bus stop, close to a bench and trash can (check the coordinates -- NOT the bench closest to the bus stop).
There is a fair bit of traffic on this street (for a residential street). The house (1118 Colusa) with the sculptures attracts some extra foot traffic, beware of muggles especially prying eyes from nearby houses. You can pretend you are sitting at the bench contemplating life while you are really searching for the cache.
I first discovered the sculptures one day after work when I took a different bus home from San Francisco and I walked down this street. At that time, about two years ago, there were only the "floating" table and chairs in the front yard. I thought they were so great I took my wife and then-3-year-old son to see them! Since then, the number of sculptures has grown significantly and if you walk around the neighborhood you will see that they have also spread around. I believe that the artist who creates them is also selling them, at least I think I read a sign mentioning that at one point.
This is truly one of Berkeley's hidden gems! Find the cache and check out the art while you are there.
Please be careful when replacing the cache!
BTW I am not sure if the cache would be reachable from a wheelchair. Getting to the location should be possible, but it might be hard to reach.
WARNING: Trackables seem to disappear from this cache, so think twice about placing them here. 3 out of 3 have gone missing.
