Island of Sodor Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi,

I'm afraid that I am going to have to archive this cache at the present time. It was disabled on 18 Aug 2018 and while I can let it for a while it's been over a year and with no end in sight I have have no choice but to archive it to remove it from the listings. I suggest you look at a different area and submit a new listing if you want to keep the puzzle active.

If you have any questions feel free to let me know.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES

To find the cache, please go to the following coordinates:

N 49°

  .

W 097°

For the purposes of this cache, 10 equals 0 (zero).

Listen for and enjoy the view and sounds of the passing trains.

This cache contains a FTF certificate as well as a special FTF/prize for the first kid finder. It also starts off with the "Thomas the Tank Engine" travel bug (TB151MM).

Do not approach from the south. To access the "island", approach from the service "road" to the north. If the road is mostly dry, you'll be able to park within 45 metres of the cache and walk on high, dry ground right to GZ. This approach avoids illegally crossing the tracks by foot. Travel when wet is not recommended. (Despite what the online maps say, there is no car access from the south). In the winter, this service "road" is usually packed down and passable, except after a big snowfall. It is a low-speed "road".

This cache is not necessarily winter-friendly, but should be easily findable in the winter.
