Edenwold, located about 44 km northeast of Regina, became incorporated as a village in 1912. Today it has a new school, a pre-school, seniors centre, post-office, village office and a bar. The village also supports a skating and curling rink and a soccer field. Many people commute to Regina.
German Baptists from the Dobruja area of Romania were the first to arrive in 1885, followed by settlers from Bukovina. They would make up the majority of the pioneers in the Edenwold area. In 1886 the Baptist settlers formed the first German Baptist congregation West of Winnipeg. In 1887 they built their first church, located about seven km south of the town. This is where we take you to visit, a historic place of "Days gone by", dating back to the late 1800's - 1900's -- some of our historic settlers!
After wandering around, you will be looking for a small camoed, lock and lock. Please replace back, well covered, so a muggle visiting the area won't be able to spot it. BYOP!
