Geocache Description:

Come celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Geocaching with us and be a part of history!

On May 1, 2000, an announcement was made that Selective Availability would be lifted.
On May 2, 2000, Selective Availability lifted and the accuracy of GPS technology was greatly improved.
On May 3, 2000, Dave Ulmer hid a black bucket with items inside including videos, books, software and a slingshot, as well as a logbook and a pencil. He called it the First GPS Stash. He shared the waypoint of his ‘stash’ with the online community on sci.geo.satellite-nav: N45.17.460 W122.24.800.
Within three days two different people read about the stash on the Internet, used their own GPS receivers to find the container and shared their experiences online.
The sport of Geocaching was born!

I will need an exact count of who will join us for breakfast by May1, 2010.
We MUST have at least 10 cachers at the event in order to get the "SPECIAL" icon for this world-wide event.
A group photo MUST be taken to verify this count.
The photo will be taked at 10:30AM. I must have 10 cachers there!!!
A limited number of Special Edition Geocoins will be available by contacting PurpleHawks through Geocaching.com. First come, first serve. $10.00. Probably one to a customer.....
