Cache is along the Sonriente/Bell View Trail, between Coto De Caza and Dove Canyon. Easy parking on Dove Canyon Drive, near the junction of Plano Trabuco Road. You do NOT have to drive into the Coto or Dove Canyon gates to access this trail. It is a short, steep walk on a paved road up to the trail. Once you get to the trail marker, take the dirt trail to the right.
Did you know there is a pirate ship in Coto? If you make it to this cache, you will be able to get a glimpse of it. This is the infamous house that Kobe Bryant almost bought a few years ago, but he backed out of the deal due to "security reasons" based on the public's access to this trail!
The house is built on 9.5acres. It has a water park theme, including a private lake, waterfalls, bumper boats, a water slide, water canons, a fog machine, and a two-story pirate ship!! If you look down the hill and slightly to the right of the pine tree, you can see the mast of the ship. You can find out more information about the house by using your favorite search engine and typing in: pirate ship coto de caza.
When you approach GZ, the ground is VERY slick, especially when wet. Please use caution when walking up and down the hill. The cache is a long black tube and is safely hidden from view.
