The reason for the 3.5 terrain is because of the high drop-offs, slippery and loose ground, and possible wildlife encounters. We don't suggest bringing the young geochildren. There is a trail that leads to the cache but it is not kept up very well.
Oku is a very traditional Okinawan town. It is the first town in Okinawa that had a community store. There are a few traditional style little houses that you can rent, but we did not check into it. There is a nice big stream where you can let the geokids play while you go grab the cache. Have fun and be careful please!!!
