This should be an easy historical cache and dash. This caches is part of caches that highlight bridges that span the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.
Clearfield County is rich in history. From the Indians, orginal settlers, logging boom, the river history, and the Civil War Bucktails, it is not hard to find something to learn about in our county. This cache is dedicated to the history of a bridge on a lonely country road. I remember the bridge well because it was located next to a small game lands that my father, brother, family friends and I used to hunt rabbits with our lovable beagles. The bridge has been replaced recently but fortunately the state erected a historical placque due to the importance of the original bridge. For a country road there is a fair amount of traffic but there is plenty of room to pull off along the road, or you can park in the game lands parking area and enjoy the very short walk along the river to the bridge. This is a micro so please remember to bring a pen or pencil. And while your here, the "Woody" cache (GC21Q1E) is around 1/4 mile up the road and is another cache and dash.
Enjoy the awsome history of our wonderful county.
