One of a series of urban caches to recognise our historical ‘town markets’. We intend to cover Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Ormskirk, and Southport for now, and hope the ‘Mark It’ series might extend further… If you feel your town needs a ‘Mark It’ cache, then feel free to create your own… with all these caches STEALTH and PATIENCE will be needed.
The container is a small magnetic urban micro (not a nano), containing a tiny notebook and pencil. It is located outside the 140 year old market hall. The hall’s location is tucked away around the corner from Southport’s well known Eastbank Street thus many visitors to Southport have probably never seen the market. As the location is very busy, and there may be 'deliveries' taking place, extreme STEALTH will be needed while you retrieve the magnetic container, you will need to feel under a point that’s about knee height above pavement level.
