McVey School is a one-room school built in 1886. Also known as the Little Red Schoolhouse, it was named for prominent landowner Absalom McVey and was used as a schoolhouse until 1956, when the McVey School students became part of the Sedalia School Dstrict. It is now a museum maintained by the Pettis County Historical Society. Tours are occasionaly given of the schoolhouse but it's fenced in and there's really no access or parking at the schoolhouse site.
The coordinates will take you to the cache which is across the highway from the schoolhouse. It is a park and grab, bring your own pencil. There will be muggles everywhere but I don’t think they’ll bother you. This cache is also handicap accessible; you can park within a foot of the cache.
*** Congratulations Spanky & Rowdy Rita on the FTF! ***
